Global Outreach Day i Osijek
On May 18, Global Outreach Day took place once again around the world. Many Christians in various locations were challenged to either share the gospel with at least one friend or for the church to hold an evangelistic event.
We have made efforts in Croatia during Global Outreach Day before, but this year we scaled up and mobilized on a larger scale. Around 30 people from Sweden, Norway, the USA, and Croatia participated in Global Outreach Day in Osijek.
The theme for the initiative was “servolution.” To serve people and connect with them while presenting a clear gospel in various creative ways. This allowed different age groups to participate, and individuals with varied experiences in evangelism could make a direct impact and serve others.
We wore red shirts with the name of the local church on them and were situated in a central square in the city of Osijek. We distributed roses and water bottles. We had face painting and created balloon animals for children. It was both a dance performance and a game of kubb. We had a prayer station and distributed flyers for the evangelical evening meetings. We witnessed and conversed with people and invited them to the evening meetings.
We prayed with people for salvation in the square, and several also attended the evening meetings. In the evenings, there were also people who accepted Jesus as their savior after being invited in the square. A truly successful Global Outreach Day with fantastic evening meetings in Osijek.
